Yes. Lookout connects to Exchange on your own servers through EWS, OWA or ActiveSync, and to Microsoft 365 through Microsoft Graph. You see your mail, calendars and contacts, and the shared calendars and folders of colleagues who gave you access. The Exchange connection is part of a paid plan of Parula.

Yes. Any provider with IMAP or JMAP works for mail, and CalDAV/CardDAV for calendars and contacts. You can have several accounts in the same window, for example your work account and your private mailbox.

Yes. You can send invitations to people on Outlook, Exchange, Microsoft 365, Google and Apple, and accept or decline theirs. When an invitation arrives, Lookout shows whether you are free at that time.

Yes. Lookout runs on Windows, macOS and Linux.

Lookout is one of two interfaces of Parula. The modern interface of Parula is the other one.

The Lookout download opens with Lookout, the download of Parula with its modern interface. Once you switch the interface explicitly in settings, both keep your choice.

On your computer, and on your mail server. Lookout connects directly to your server and keeps a mail, calendars and contacts in a local database on your computer. Nothing goes through the servers of Beonex or a cloud service in between.

Any server that speaks open standards: JMAP, IMAP and SMTP for mail, CalDAV/CardDAV for calendars and contacts, WebDAV for files. Lookout works with Stalwart, Nextcloud and openDesk, among others.

They type their email address and password. Lookout finds the server settings with Autoconfig, with the ISPDB for common providers, and with Exchange AutoDiscover. Manual settings are there for the rest. The developers of Parula created Autoconfig, which many mail apps use today.

Yes. Lookout can use the S/MIME certificates of your organization and is compatible with Outlook. Lookout shows your certificates as Digital IDs in the Trust Center, like Outlook. OpenPGP is supported too, including Autocrypt.

The protocols of Microsoft are proprietary, and building and maintaining a client for them is a lot of work. Organizations that use Exchange or Microsoft 365 pay for that work with a plan of Parula. The open-standards side of the app stays Open Source.
